DEATHINITION
Art Of Manipulation

This band form Poland brings pretty Bay Area inspired Thrash on this self-financed EP "Art Of Manipulation”. DEATHINITION is beavered away for 6 years already and still this is only their third release. Prior to this one, a single called "Melanz” (in 2010) and a demo called "Demo” form 2011 saw the light of day, also on own expenses. These releases didn’t lift them out of anonimosity, but on this effort you’ll hear that the band has become a tight unity and the four tracks are convincing in songwriting and musicianship. Especially the second half of this EP is pretty good. True, they’re not the most intense or catchy songs, but it’s full of variation, technical where needed and brutal with a lot of double bass drumming. ‘Priest’ and ‘Klamstwa Dla Mas’ have all ingredients to kick ass. The only (minor) let down probably are some contributions from vocalist Adam Langowski and that the production could be heavier. But considering this was put together without help from any label, it’s a job well done anyway. And maybe the next release will blow this away, because this EP might cause some label interest. The style on "Art Of Manipulation” is powerful and furious without silting up in a speed overkill. Expect shredding riffing and pumping drumming. Definately worth your attention!
