I was worried a bit when previously DENOUNCEMENT PYRE had changed line-ups for a demo and a bro of mine told me that the new recordings were not so great. But it was still the same.Very adequately good. As all DENOUNCEMENT PYRE really. I thought they were adequate, even a very good band, but nothing truly mind blowing or spectacular.However “World Cremation” is superb! It is powerful, heavy, mid paced, then fast, and the guitars are so raunchy! Haunting and atmospheric without turning into a sloppily boring mess. Even when they bring it down to a normal Metal beat, some motherfucking devil riff comes in to spice up the proceedings. It certainly looks like DENOUNCEMENT PYRE took the time to write some really good and flowing violent songs (unlike say the last CD by another band formerly from Oz who shall remain nameless but start with a D and end with a 666). Again, powerful, pounding and did I mention those raunchy guitars?! Damn! Good, good stuff here, bordering on great! I don’t mean to hype it up so, I mean don’t take my word for it, you decide! But let me tell you this CD has verily slayed me, definitively! And Frank might get pissed at me but I nominate this for album of the year # 2 only behind the superb VOMITOR release. Get this ASAP I say! And I am sorry to be a Scheisskopf and repeat myself boss, but excuse me now as I must go listen to “World Cremation” again!
