DISSENTER
Apocalypse Of The Damned
(Cold Blood Industries)

DISSENTER’s roots are reaching back to the year 1989 when they were founded under the moniker of BLOODLUST. Due to countless problems the Polish Death Metal outfit called it quits in the mid 90s just to reform as DISSENTER shortly after. The band offers a delicious meal of blood and guts á la IMMOLATION, VADER, and, above all, MORBID ANGEL (esp. the solos). "Apocalypse Of The Damned" certainly isn’t the most original Death Metal album ever but it offers uncompromisingly brutal material on a high quality level. If you’re into brutal Death Metal this CD is absolutely worth buying even though (or maybe "especially because") the production isn’t really on the same level as other bigger releases. But you can hear all the instruments clearly and the album doesn’t sound polished which supports a raw impression of the band. No music for whimps! Instead, DISSENTER manage to capture a true underground feeling despite their excellent technical abilities. F*§#$ng cool! www.dissenter.prv.pl
