Earthquake Death Metal from the States is what DYING FETUS are offering us on their fourth release "Destroy The Opposition". If you’re in search of ultimately catchy, fast, brutal, extreme and groovy NYC Death Metal with a certain Hardcore touch (well, I guess this goes out for the ideology of DYING FETUS, not the music), than take a listen into this speed monster. To be honest with you, before I got the whole album in my hands I had the opportunity to listen to one track on a compilation-CD. This track was entitled ‘Pissing In The Mainstream’ and it was one of the catchiest and most groovy Death Metal hits I’ve heard in a very long time, therefore I expected the absolute highlight in this year’s U.S. Death Metal genre by DYING FETUS. But unfortunately most of the other tracks can’t compete with this killer track, so all in all "Destroy The Opposition" is just a good instead of a brilliant Death Metal release with pretty intelligent and critical lyrics worth your attention.
