Hailing from Trieste, Italy, FERAL FORMS is a ferocious new beast freshly coagulated from current and former members of GRIME, THE SECRET, CLAUSTRUM and FIERCE. The four-piece, after a debut EP in 2023 titled “Premalignant”, will aim to conjure the unholy Gods of Death Metal pushing their sound to a new level of tonal corruption with their debut album “Through Demonic Spell”. For fans of CONCRETE WINDS, ANTICHRIST SIEGE MACHINE, ANGELCORPSE, OF FEATHER AND BONE.” Some parts of this are true and the others are not. I can see why CONCRETE WINDS was mentioned there but FERAL FORMS are neither as aggressive nor as vindictive as CONCRETE WINDS so the comparison is not accurate, a similar sentiment about ANGELCORPSE. “Through Demonic Spell” is the debut album of FERAL FORMS who hail from Italy. The album is a polite mix of Black / Death Metal and will appeal to the generic fans of the genre. Credit where it is due, the band works with a good atmosphere through their first full length with Everlasting Spew. It does make for an engaging listening experience but you’ve heard everything before and honestly lads, that cover needs to be changed. Yes, this is a good quality Black / Death Metal and it is worth your time, give it a go!
