Frankly, this is mediocre and heterogeneous Metal music. These guys (one ex-GURKKHAS member is involved here as well!) simply do not know what they strive for, they combine such strange elements that just don’t make sense at all. The third track (‘Enirak’) sounds like a Death Metal parody or something similar. I haven’t got a clue what these guys were on about when they wrote this track. Too many baguettes or what (these freaks are from France btw)? I don’t understand the role of monotonous guitar-lines (which are not a negative element at all when they are used sensibly), ridiculous vocals, organs, etc jumbled up chaotically in one song. The fifth track sounds relaxed and laid-back, very melodious with female vocals – quite nice actually. For some strange the vocal-line reminds me of the Twin Peaks theme, dunno why – and this track introduces yet another facet of this band. I think this combo would be well-advised to reflect on what they wanna achieve and embody with their music. Innovation certainly is a positive thing, but people who want to be varying in their musical approach need to be in control, have a clear vision and a certain competence. I think all these presuppositions are not given in this case. Sorry, not my kind of music and artistic approach to progression. Certainly some interesting bits and pieces – nevertheless not convincing at all!!! Contact: www.perennialquest.free.fr
