Decaying Death / Doom from Denmark? Sign me up! Holy everything Danish including UNDERGANG, what we have here is a demo from a new band called FOETOREM which can probably put some well produced full lengths to shame in production. This could be a demo, but the musicianship is absolutely top-notch. The vocals are pitch-perfect, the brooding guitars do their job effectively and pierce the atmosphere with appropriate distortion. On the whole, this is a really well done demo. A nice part of the band is their drummer sticks to the mid ’90s tempo throughout the demo and it works beautifully. Gosh, think early NOVEMBERS DOOM with deeper growls and a faster tempo! FOETOREM have made their impact with this demo and I hope Everlasting Spew gives them a formal contract for a full length.
