Dutch newcomers F.U.B.A.R. deliver violent Grindcore blending classic old school influences from bands like NAPALM DEATH, TERRORIZER with crusty heaviness, sludgy groove and a vocal spectrum ranging from ordinary growls over gangshouting to typical Hardcore-style yelling. Especially the latter is certainly a matter of taste and in my opinion this kind of vocals reach "suck-factor 100" in the fourth track ‘Chocking?’, but you should decide for yourself. Apart from that the band is highly energetic, driving and their delight in playing is definitely audible. The stylistic diversity F.U.B.A.R. have to offer on their first album results in a entertaining, raw and fucked up sounding Grindcore effort, which does not appeal to me that much I have to admit, but undoubtedly has its qualities and a good dose of individuality to offer. So if a musical mixture as the one I described above is something for you, don’t hesitate a second and check this album out! www.bonesbrigaderecords.com
