Creepy! After a haunting intro these Australian Black Metal freaks slowly build up some BATHORY feeling until it’s crushed the old Norwegian style. Well, not exactly because there is some thrashy attitude that makes GHASTLY a little different. The demo even rocks – especially the last two tracks – and makes you bang your head immediately. But it’s not Punk undertones you sometimes spot in DARKTHRONE but more of a groovy kind. Black’n’Roll, so to say.
