HARVEST

First sign of live by HARVEST from Panama, six songs plus intro. A rather unspectacular version of modern Thrash Metal, lots of mid-tempo music in the vein of MACHINE HEAD and SEPULTURA ("Chaos A.D.") and suchlike acts. Instead of blast beats the listener is offered many groove passages and as an alternative to razor sharp, deadly riffs the whole affair is sort of unspectacular or boring. Of course the vocals are done the modern way, which means a mix of singing and husk shouting. A track like ‘Letchworth Hell’ has its enjoyable moments, but overall there is an obvious lack of energy, aggression and remarkable riffs. Same goes for the whole EP, one of the weakest Thrash Metal outputs I have been listening to for the last months.
