There are very few bands which play in a style so defined that are not affected by what is going on around them. Like if they are in their own world. And those are the worthy ones that will preserve certain traditions for generations to come. In the case of Death Metal we have many of those bands that will stick to play Death Metal as it was mastered by the elders and nothing more. No experimentation, no going outside of the sacred ways. And for Metalheads like me, who have witnessed the failures that experimentations might be in extreme Metal, instead of being tired of listening to the same old formula, when that is performed with such passion, it just revives those moments of first time extremities shivering our skin. Enter HATESPAWN from Germany. Yes, a land where Death Metal, real Death Metal, also permeates. They follow the path bands like ASPHYX, MORGOTH, AUTOPSY and MORBID ANGEL set many moons ago. Members of this band have been involved in other killer acts like NECROS CHRISTOS, IMPENDING DOOM, CHARON, ANAEL, ETERNITY and MACBETH. This fantastic vinyl edition comes in a gatefold cover with a more than appropriate cover art by Chris “Thorncross” Moyen and a giant A1 poster, which will be available also soon as a CD boxset, which might as well contain extra songs to sum up all they have recorded, is definitely a worthy addition to any brutal Death Metal fan. No jogging shorts, no jump around, no core influences, no too melodic Power Metal crap, this is the way Death Metal as meant to be. The recording quality is also great, this could easily go out as a full length more than a demo compilation, and no one will notice. And if you have ever a sign where they got their name although changing it a bit, just listen to the cover for mighty early MORBID ANGEL where Mike Browning himself does guest vocals. Killer! Now, we need a new full length now…www.hatespawn.de.tf, www.sepulchralvoice.de
