HEMORAGY

Interesting. A Thrash / Rock / Heavy Metal band from Paris that has a moniker and logo akin to that of a Death Metal act yet who ultimately sound like RUNNING WILD in their early days mixed with a stack of overlooked, and obscure NWOBHM, altogether delivered in a hefty rollicking roughshod manner. The cover art of this independent CD album just kills me, as it is totally reminiscent of King Wolle from Desecration Of Virgin fanzine. Wolle if you’re out there, if HEMORAGY get signed this band owes you some royalties my friend! As this CD spins I can’t help but think of the Finnish Metallers MORNINGSTAR when they released “Hell “, that same kind of rough and tumble feel is there within these songs. That stated HEMORAGY is much more technically advanced than MORNINGSTAR. Better riffing, song structures and better leads to be sure! The only real drawback to this CD is that even though the titles are in English, the actual words of each piece are in French. So makes for a bit of a hard listen and then there’s the fact the vocals are buried too low in the mix and you can’t understand or follow anything shouted into the mic, even if you tried. So if you care about such things best to just turn up the volume and deal with it and for those that don’t really care about what the singer has to say, then keep drinking your beers and bang that head!
