It is really a challenge for any old school Metal fan when a masterpiece like this is handed for a review, feels like the words are pretty much fixed long before even typing the damn thing. IMPETIGO needs no introduction because anybody with a minimum of decent taste should have heard about what the band was about and if you don´t have this album among your collection you can consider yourself a flaming poser! This band broke into the underground back in 1987 with their debut demo and the world was never the same after that. Fucked up song structures, over the top sick lyrics based on the most deranged horror movies humanity has ever witnessed and last but not least outrageous visual attack who would shock even the most open-minded Metal fan. CARCASS surely made people nauseate few years before with their forensic approach but certainly they did not have the balls to reach the level of depravation, insanity and dementia of "Ultimo Mondo Cannibale". This is THE Goresoaked Grind album that has been used as the blueprint for horror-based Metal during the last 20+ years. Virtually nothing can beat songs like ‘Dis-Organ-Ized’, ‘Bloody Pit Of Horror’, ‘Unadulterated Brutality’ and many others that make me remember how the conception of what extreme Metal spinned 360 degrees after listening this sick shit for the first time. This reissue is graced with a very well done remaster of the original tracks of the album plus a wealth of bonuses such as the original vinyl and cassette bonus tracks, "Faceless" EP and two live songs recorded back in 4/11/92 at the Club Baby Head, Providence Rhose Island.
