Most Black Metal bands since the mid-90s have adopted as their modus operandi to offer only the affect of rawness, of evil. Still others imitate SADISTIK EXEKUTION and call themselves Black / Thrash Metal, an utterly useless term unless applied to NIFELHEIM of course. INKISITOR is not quite so bad, but one would be hard pressed not to notice the tangible need for improvement. What they play isn’t bad, it’s just rather ordinary; the sort of open chords underneath an icy fog. What Black Metal band hasn’t done this before? I’m sorry to give such a cool looking band an average rating, but looking cool isn’t everything. If it was, we would have a lot more classics to review. www.inkisitor.cjb.net, www.myspace.com/inkisitor, www.osmoseproductions.com
