Hell, yeah! INSINERATEHYMN is finally back with a new album: “Irreverence Of The Divine”. I still remember when I first heard them back in 2018. It was an impressive band for me. And I’ve been following them since then. So glad they’re back! After their previous albums “Disembodied” from 2022 and their debut “A Moment In A Vision” from 2018, the maniacs are here to put things in order. “Irreverence Of The Divine”, put out by Memento Mori last April on CD, is kind of the new chapter of blasphemy and evilness for the band. And no surprise here! This is exactly what I would expect from a band like INSINERATEHYMN: Death Metal the way it was meant to be: aggressive, obscure, malevolent. By listening to this new album, I feel that they keep the structure of the previous ones, but here I found even more aggression with transitions across the songs oriented to be faster and rawer. Essentially this is Death Metal that draws the line from the early days of ’90s Death Metal, but with the INSINERATEHYMN personality. INSINERATEHYMN’s sound may be inspired by bands like MORBID ANGEL, MALEVOLENT CREATION, IMMOLATION, VITAL REMAINS and (naturally) DEICIDE, maintaining that same spirit of darkness and I’m under the impression that this is the reason why for someone like me, it’s so easy to find them so familiar, while still finding new propositions to make possible to incinerate whatever it sounds sacred and bullshit. Musically, INSINERATEHYMN is not complicating, they are direct and precise. And even when I tend to prefer things constantly fluctuating when it comes to the tempos, I have no complaint, “Irreverence Of The Divine” is doing what it’s supposed to, ejecting its dark matter in every riff. I think that the whole album is totally killer and I would like to kind of mention tracks like ‘Irreverence Of The Divine’, ‘Sempiternal Suicide’ or ‘Mephitic Anamnesis’, but my favorite is definitely ‘Visage Of The Infinite’. In general, “Irreverence Of The Divine” sounds twisted and insane, an album that goes straight to the point without pretending to be what is not meant to be. Simple: pure blasphemy, desolation and disease. Check them out! www.facebook.com/insineratehymnofficial, www.facebook.com/memento.mori.label
