Can we take a moment to look at this cover? It is a spectacular cover and I literally took a few minutes to look at all the details of it. Now, moving onto KÖNIGREICHSSAAL, what we have here is their second full length released on Godz Ov War Productions, the band itself plays an interesting mix of music. It isn’t necessarily limited to a column or uni-dimensional as-is in all cases. There are various elements attached to their mix of Black Metal, there is a Punk spirit clubbed with touches of Garage Rock which are ultimately tagged through a very rough atmosphere that somehow manages to fit well into what the band is doing. It is strange how certain anomalies can exist in perfect harmony but when taken out of the equation wreak absolute havoc. Knowing the evolution of Polish Black Metal and invoking the heaviness of MGLA, I can attest KÖNIGREICHSSAAL is absolutely on the right path towards genre greatness here. The vocalist sounds tortured, the rhythms can’t be differentiated but meander enough to run through the entirety of song shouldering it. At every point in time, the band is trying something new which somehow just works in their favour. I suppose I’ll be listening to this album for a while to dissect every single note of what they’re doing here.
