LOST BREED
Bow Down

Californian cult Heavy / Doom gang LOST BREED releasing a 17 tracks compilation, and without being a pothead wizard I predict anyone who ever loved that stuff has to get this compilation too. First because you always do when old heroes show up again. And second, it’s worth it. Even though they also signed that 90s heavy music contract which forced every lumberjack shirt wearing musician into a gang-rape of the vowel "A". And the awareness that a clear and masculine "yeahh" can solve a lot of songwriting problems. It’s still a compilation which entertains and offers a nice journey from SABBATH to NIRVANA back to SLEEP. And of course the trip is accompanied with the holy SAINT VINTUS. No doubt that every old and new Doom head finds something in between this adventure. I love the riffing a lot though. You get a wide perspective of how Heavy / Doom can be played without the need of being a very dark or very weedy kind of headbanging. You will be severed a more Rock’n’Roll styled cocktail mixed by a already pretty drunk barkeeper. For me no need to bow down but checking it out won’t make you life less absurd. www.bloodandironrecords.com, www.metalsoldiersrecords.com
