MAN MUST DIE
No Tolerance For Imperfection
(Relapse Records)

This record starts with no remorse right from the beginning, at least that’s what the first song seems to say. Modern Death Metal with core elements or maybe Deathcore or just extreme Metal is what the guys from Glasgow serve us. I only have the myspace page so I don’t have too much information about the band but it seems to be their third record. After the storm of the first song I was afraid the whole record would be just straight forward thrashing but this was needless. Just with the next song ‘Gainsayer’, which is one of the album’s highlights, the band shows their variation with great melodic leads and mosh parts. The song ‘It Comes In Trees’ most obviously show the Metalcore influences which go through the whole record, but this isn’t a bad thing. ‘Hide The Knives’ is another favourite of mine together with the last and shortest track ‘Survival Of The Sickest’. The instrumental ‘What I Can Take Back’ is nice to catch a breath but you wouldn’t miss it. The sound of the production is the typical modern one with extremely triggered drums so it is good but nothing special. Another reviewer heard a lot of KATAKLYSM in their sound and I think in some points he is right. But this band has definitely potential so we will see where their way goes. www.myspace.com/manmustdie, www.relapse.com
