MOMENT OF DETONATION
The Legacy They Left Us With

This five track EP, if we count in the intro, is the debut release for this German band, venturing into the world of Melodic Death Metal or Deathcore if you will. Completed with heavy riffing lifted by melodic leads as the driving force together with the effective rhythm patterns. The flow of the tracks are in place, though I need some excitement, passion and intensity to get hooked on any music, and I think those three elements are missing in periods here. All I get is some rehashed moments from what once made the Swedish Melodic Death Metal scene great, blended into some bland modern Deathcore, without it getting really angry and in my face, or real melodic and captivating, like the band doesn’t agree on what direction to hit, or how tough or soft they really want to be, and that kills the nerve. "The Legacy They Left Us With" is a beginning, though the music and the delivery of it needs some work before it kicks in some doors, right now it’s too stale and mediocre. There are some moments in ‘Blueprints’ though that track is also one of the very "inspired" ones, and I can’t help thinking of a certain band from Gothenburg and a couple of their tunes, when listening. This release hasn’t convinced me, though give it your own shot at: www.momentofdetonation.com, https://soundcloud.com/moment-of-detonation
