MORASS SKOFFIN from Germany was previously named WE SHAL RISE and released their only full-length “Iris” in 2013, still as WE SHAL RISE. In 2016 the band changed their name to MORASS SKOFFIN. So, they ended up re-establishing not only their name but also their style, moving from Thrash / Death Metal / Metalcore to Death Metal. However, the essence of the band remained the same. MORASS SKOFFIN released their first EP “Blindfold” in 2016, displaying a more Death Metal vibe there and aligning themselves with the sound of bands like IN FLAMES, THE HAUNTED or HATESPHERE. And after seven years of silence, MORASS SKOFFIN came back last year with the single “Helga” which is a cover of ‘Helga (Lost Her Head)’, originally by REPULSION, showcasing a Grindcore / Death Metal sound here. They’re back now with this self-financed release “Descent”, an album of eight songs that gathers the experience of all their previous activities, background and sounds, but leveling up the band with a Death Metal that circulates around those stages of melodies, constant tempo changes and that musical skeleton that they carry from their past, merging all those elements to result in a band named MORASS SKOFFIN.
