Being formed in 2001 and undergoing different line-up changes, the German Death Metal outfit NECROTIC FLESH is now back again to present us their first mini-album. And the wait has not been useless. They deliver really great Death Metal with a certain kind of old school appeal. Proud of not avoiding any clichés regarding music or lyrics, you will not find any “modern” elements on this output. Covering the whole spectrum from slow to fast, with deep growled vocals, NECROTIC FLESH manage to make the listener clear why Death Metal is characterised by the word “brutal”. Song titles like ‘Suffer From A Very Slow Amputation’ or ‘Prenatal Decomposed’ should give you a hint, that the lyrics are more in the vein of Goregrind or early CANNIBAL CORPSE, which is underlined by some movie-samples. Another trademark of NECROTIC FLESH is the mixture of the typical American Death Metal with some fine Swedish sounding Death Metal riffs. So all in all a really enjoyable Death Metal release and hopefully we do not have to wait four years for the next release. www.necroticflesh.de
