NEVERLIGHT HORIZON
Dehumanized
(self-financed)

Ever since the release of their "Perfection In Murders Art" MCD, Belgium’s NEVERLIGHT HORIZON basically concentrated on playing a whole bunch of live shows, which seemed to be a very good idea as those experiences are pretty good reflected in their more matured sounding songwriting now. In 2005 the band finally returned to the studio and recorded their debut full length "Dehumanized", which they unfortunately had to finance on their own again for some strange reason… Well, at least one of the songs (‘Spiritual Slavery’) made it onto volume 3 of the great "Face Your Underground" sampler series from the dedicated guys at Death Metal.be shortly after, so hopefully that’ll help to get their name out a bit more to people that weren’t familiar with the band so far. "Dehumanized" features 8 tracks as well as a short intro and easily lives up to the high standards that are currently being set in Belgium’s impressive Death Metal underground. Just like all the other upcoming bands from overthere that we recently were able to introduce to you, also NEVERLIGHT HORIZON have come up with an overall very high quality in terms of their musical skills as well as the production and packing of "Dehumanized". To label their material as "typical brutal US style Death Metal" may sound a little negative at first, but is actually meant in a very positive way here. The band has dropped all unnecessary outside influences and simply delivers a relentless mixture of very well executed and totally devastating Death Metal somewhere in between the intensity of MALEVOLENT CREATION and brutality of DEICIDE and despite the usual lack of originality totally convinces in that from start to finish. Everything just fits together perfectly and on top of that you’re even getting one of the most brilliant looking (fold-out) coverarts I’ve ever seen for a self-financed release. So, instead of wasting more of your time, I’ll advice you to contact the band for ordering information at neverlighthorizon@hotmail.com. Their website can be found at this location www.nlh.be.tf. Horns up and cheers once more to Belgium!
