First of all: thanks to NIGHTSIDE for not “polluting” the air with even more Italian True Metal but instead putting out an interesting mixture of Swedeath in the Gothenburg vein and an even more melodic, sometimes even quiet touch! You can spot elements from Thrash and True Metal on here as well but this CD lives from dynamics very much and therefore doesn’t need speed and mayhem all the time. Okay, nothing wrong with that of course, but it makes NIGHTSIDE differ from other bands quite a bit! Among all those faceless (not only!) Italien bands, NIGHTSIDE are definitely looking for an identity of their own and they’re already quite good with that! Absolutely worth checking out! tompa@virgilio.it
