NON OPUS DEI
Sem Al Diavol Va Porti Al Mal

You like polish Black Metal? You like ROOT, old BATHORY and MASTER’S HAMMER and the grim primitivity of bands like DARKTHRONE and KHOLD? That all mixed with some (!) Slavic-folk instruments and drum rhythms? You like Satan and all of his friends? Then keep on reading. NON OPUS DEI from Poland may be the right band you are looking for. This release with the strange name is their second full length CD after 2002s “Diabolical Metal” CD and the “Applied Diabology” MCD from 2004 (cool title, hehe). The production is quite good and the songs well played but unfortunately NON OPUS DEI’s music evily lacks of originality and atmosphere. It is not really bad but there is so much good stuff to listen to instead. But on the other hand Black Metal like that is not my taste anyway. At least the pictures in the booklet are not bad. Could think of some people who would go for stuff like that. Of course 6 points from me. www.metalfortress.com
