Terrifyer

About three years ago I came across PIG DESTROYER’s “Prowler In The Yard”, and at first I was a bit perplexed about their musical efforts. Their songs were more or less noisy sound collages with hardly recognizable song structures, combining psychotically screamed vocals, powerful and technically skilled drumming and completely insane riffing into a blend of total aggression and hatred. After a short while, I deeply loved this album, despite the total absence of any “listener-friendliness”. Now PIG DESTROYER are back with a new album and, again, I’m perplexed, but this time I’m positively perplexed right from the beginning. Their aforementioned trademarks are still there, but this time they put them into complete songs. This fact makes it much easier to follow and enjoy this intense insanity. The new songs offer more variety in tempo and structure, but manage to stay brutal at every second. As for the vocals, they sound even more psychotic than on the previous releases, which is a more than respectable achievement. All together, this is probably the most entertaining and intense half an hour of Thrash / Grind / Punk / Noise or just extreme music I’ve ever listened to. If you like your music extreme in every way, then PIG DESTROYER might become your new sanctuary. Labelsite and bandinfo: www.relapse.com
