Though buried deep underground, the Metal scene has been a constant fixture in Brazil for decades. While no genre is shirked, Death Metal seems to be the one that spawns the most. PRECEPTOR is comprised of members of a number of bands from the busy Belo Horizonte scene and, together, aim to infect the tombs with only the most simple of riffs available. As a result, this debut album is packed full of straight forward rhythms and jackhammer motifs that transition from blast-to-groove with ease. Fans of the unrelenting delivery of DECEASED (debut album), older MASTER and PUNGENT STENCH will find plenty to enjoy in the band‘s hostile brand of simple Death Metal. As a genre, Brazilian Death Metal is propulsive by nature and therefore defined by a demonic sense of rhythm somehow. PRECEPTOR are not revolutionizing Death Metal at all, yet still manage to boast an undeniable relevance, combining old school sensibility with a typical Brazilian style. "Dogmatismo" has its qualities but it will be hard for the band to prevail internationally. Good luck guys. www.facebook.com/preceptorband, www.facebook.com/neckbreakerrecs
