This record is over the top again… this really doesn’t surprise me whatsoever due to the fact that B.O.T.I.S. of subliminal HIDDEN IN THE FOG is part of this project again. He plays the drums on the record and does a breath-taking job as a matter of fact. So what are these guys all about? Their sound reminds me of VED BUENS ENDE at times… concerning the jazzy bass-lines, the vocals, progressive cadences and chords, multi-dimensionality. These compositions remind me of a grotesque, strangely warped and multi-coloured semi-nightmare. It is like running through a distorded garden of unfathomable forms and you are lured by deeper and deeper into it by this maniac symphony. There definitely are elements of new GORGUTS regarding guitar work, CEPHALLIC CARNAGE regarding some guitar hooks and breaks, IN THE WOODS sort of enter my mind as well, then there really is an extreme drummer – as mentioned above – providing complexity and furiosity. Very intersting I find his bass-drum patterns, supporting the bass in a very traditional manner… and then again, at times, the bass sort of escapes and floats above. The fills are creative and dynamic… again, this really reminds me of VED BUENS ENDE. Especially the rhythmic section – that is, bass and drums. The vocalist reminds me of SENESCENCE – psychotic Doomsters from Northern Germany. Very weird and twisted music indeed — harmonically, a masterpiece again I have to state here. But hey – I need to mention this once more, when there is a guy from HIDDEN IN THE FOG in charge of according parts of a project, the result is bound to be awe-inspiring. No real suggestions which track is best being checked first… just let it flow and float. Such lunies these guys are… splendid.
