New World Rage Music

Urrgh, this type of music drives me completely insane! Even though RED HARVEST seem to appeal to readers and writers of England’s Terrorizer Magazine pretty much (the band was voted in their category “best newcomer” on #7 and also ended up on #33 in the category “album of the year 2000”), I personally can’t stand their “Metallocalyptic Industrial Metal” (…) at all! “New World Rage Music” ain’t a new album in the true sense of the word, but a re-release of RED HARVEST’s 1998 mini album “Newrage World Music” with a bunch of additional bonus tracks (two brand-new, a live version and an unreleased older tune). On the older stuff RED HARVEST combine industrial elements, with an angry and extremely hateful Hardcore type vocal delivery, while the newer tunes are even worse than that: to me ‘Final Scorn’ and ‘Terrorsonic Zodiac’ sound nothing but noisy, extremely distorted and with additional tekkno and industrial elements (on one of those tunes MAYHEM’s Maniac is supposed to appear as a guest vocalist – which I didn’t even recognize…) and I totally agree with the label’s statement “… it will make your nose bleed!!!” Not only that, it also makes my ears ring and upsets my stomach… so, I’m glad I’m finally done with it. I have a lot of respect for the energy that the band sets free, but being from the old school, to me this just ain’t music anymore. Only for sick minds…
