Reflecting The Light

Originally in 2019 published as self-produced digital format Bitume Records from France now decided to release this album also on CD. As always, the question arises whether it is really necessary or not. From my point of view definitely yes, because the five songs, numbered rather unimaginatively from ‘I’ to ‘V’, are something special. Musically “Reflecting The Light” can be described as Post Black Metal, with lots a keyboards / synthesizer, only track ‘IV’ is more traditional Black Metal with high-speed drumming and tremolo picking. What distinguishes the album from the vast number of other bands: vocals are completely missing. Strangely enough, one does not really miss them. Anyone who thinks now that the whole thing sounds like a never ending intro is completely wrong. These are really well-composed songs, unthinkable if they were ruined by a bad singer. The aim of Adz, the mastermind of this one-man project, is “(…) to immerse you in the middle of emptiness and make you experience intense sensations.” Mission accomplished! Anyone who likes to hear something new and / or does not shy away from words like post / ambient should definitely give it a listen. Contact via www.facebook.com/bitumeprods
