Allsighr

Maybe not everybody is familiar with the name SARKE, but I guess at least their member Nocturno Culto is well-known around here. The band just released their seventh full-length “Allsighr” via Soulseller Records. Active since 2008, the band developed and refined their style. The base is of course a Black Metal approach but this gets enriched by many styles like Doom Metal, Speed Metal and 70s Rock. Combined with the distinctive vocals of Ted the project offers pretty interesting tunes. ‘Bleak Reflections’ sounds like a black painted Stoner song, with a heavy 80s Rock vibe and some cool keyboards. I like the Heavy Metal spirit they offer as it sound very fresh and somehow real heavy. ‘Grim Awakening’ continues the direction and especially the well-done keyboards are creating a damn good atmosphere and once again the vocals are fitting in perfectly, but also the guitars and drumming nail it and the clear production does the rest. ‘Funeral Fire’ sounds like a sountrack to a horror movie and convinces with its atmosphere and instrumentation. Definitely a different sounding album from a different sounding band, but when you put away all expectations and simply listen to the album you get something unexpected. And something definitely worth to check. For more info, please check one of the following sources: www.facebook.com/sarkeofficial, www.facebook.com/soulsellerrecords
