SERVANTS TO THE TIDE is an Epic Doom Metal band from Hamburg, Germany. A band that inherits the main characteristics of the genre and presents them with such a perfect balance of glory, heroism and attitude. They started in 2021 with their self-titled full-length “Servants To The Tide” via No Remorse Records, in which they announced what their music was going to be. There, they showed up with a sound that may take us back to the essence of what Epic Doom Metal or Epic Heavy Metal is like and we may find the principles we see in bands like CANDLEMASS, DOOMSWORD or ATLANTEAN KODEX (as an example). That same spirit and posture. They’re back now with “Where Time Will Come To Die”, again via No Remorse Records, a new full-length that confirms the personality and vision of the band. Seven tracks full of deep sensations. I have encountered the vocal duties remarkable in this album. It’s what I liked the most. And I really liked songs like ‘With Starlight We Ride’, the opening one. A song that reflects the intention of the album and all its dynamic. Then, I may move down to ‘White Wanderer’, that is like the heart of the album as it captures (in my opinion) the central components of what an Epic Doom Metal band should have: atmosphere, courage, feeling, passion and stand. And the song that closes ‘Where Time Will Come To Die’, which gathers all the strength we would like to get from a band and album like this one. In summary, “Where Time Will Come To Die” appears to me like an album I’d strongly recommend this year to anyone still interested in fresh air regarding the epic side of the prism. Check them out!
