SHREDLUST
Demo 1
(self-financed)

Well, here we have a quite new band coming from Poland, their name is SHREDLUST and they are presenting their debut production which is a demo, simply called like that and released back in 2011. This work, besides of showing a nice presentation with a pro copied CD, full color cover and band pictures, comes packed within a killer digipak format that looks pretty cool. Ok, now musically speaking and even when they are clearly into a Thrash approach, the truth is that this is not one of the many badly produced "old school Thrash" bands that are pretty common these days, instead of that, these guys procure a clearer sound with interesting compositions that even when are not extremely complicated, seem to be very effective in terms of capturing the “groove” that all bands within this genre should have. One remarkable aspect with them is the drum sound…completely “organic” without any trigger or over compressing effect, absolutely positive, considering that most of the new bands tend to go in the opposite direction. The band introduces some guitar solos or harmonies, I’m not quite sure, but the end result is pretty good…I would only add a little bit of volume. The only thing I feel I could revise for a future release are some short passages of clean voices… even when they do not sound bad, it is more like a matter of not fitting the concept that the rest of elements transmit. As this is a 3 song demo, I can’t extract many things of this band’s sound, however, the tracks allow detecting a good band that is starting with the right foot, I must confess that the 3rd song is really great, slow, heavy and catchy all the way with a bass sounding very strong in the interludes. In conclusion, a good band that would be worth to follow up for future releases. Recommended!!! www.myspace.com/shredlust, www.shredlust.com, www.facebook.com/shredlust
