Raw and rancid Columbian Black Metal is what we get from SIETE LAGUNAS, a duo, which also roams in the great Death / Doom act CÓNDOR. SIETE LAGUNUS has so far recorded two demos, and those two demos are collected on this release by La Caverna Records. 10 tracks of raw, simplistic and noisy Black Metal. Distorted broken guitar riffs, uncontrolled rhythm patters, puked screams from the netherworlds, quite raw and uncontrolled, there is a lot of fierceness and intensity, though a bit more comprehension would have made it a tad more sense. I really like the vocals, they are sick and demented as fuck, and fit a Black Metal attack well, a sinister bastard of early Maniac, Dead and Attila from MAYHEM, they are quite scary those vocals. Though musically I have a hard time to get a grasp on where the music is going, besides when they hit an early MAYHEM vibe. With some solid work and a tad more control on instruments and songwriting SIETE LAGUNAS could do something good, though these two demos are a tad too raw and out of sync, besides a glimpse of great here and there, and the sick vocals!
