The good thing is that the capital of Sweden will never run dry of ass kicking Death Metal and those youngsters from SMOTHERED are the best living proof that the heritage of albums like “Left Hand Path”, “Like An Everflowing Stream” etc. will never (!!!) die. It’s not a big deal or you can easily say that this four piece gives a shit about originality, but if you like Death Metal in the HM2 pedal driven old school Stockholm way then “The Inevitable End” will feel really warm and welcome in your collection next to the latest releases of countrymates ENTRAILS, DEMONICAL, TORMENTED or BLOOD MORTIZED. Expect cool and easy going headbanging material, crispy and kicking produced by Sverker Widgren (DEMONICAL) and delivered in a well executed and fitting artwork / layout by still unknown Olli Hihnala. A nice debut, probably not world shaking, but good enough to create a long and deadly smile in the face of fans from above mentioned bands! Keep an eye on SMOTHERED!
