SPAZMOSITY
Storm Metal

We can make it short here: fans of DISSECTION and like-minded acts can add the name SPAZMOSITY to their list. “Storm Metal” is the third demo of this Stockholm – based fourpiece, released as a MCD. What you find on this recording is dark Swedish Black / Death Metal with some dramatic melody lines, partly melancholic, partly cold. The best tracks for me are the accoustic intro track ‘The Curse Of Blood’ and the following song – ‘Enter The Storm’. This is definitely not new but played in quite a decent way with a really good and powerful although natural production. Some riffs are a bit too standard – but that is the problem with almost all bands in this genre nowadays (including the signed ones, haha!). Good song writing qualities topped by an occasional Heavy Metal solo, fast riffing crushed by mighty midtempo double bass parts plus vocals varying between deep grunts and midranged screams with delay and echo. Hmmm, the more I listen too it the more I like it! I guess these guys could manage to impress in live situation. As I said before: if you are into melodic Black / Death Metal which is not too cheesy and “happy” this lot is definitely worth to be checked out. And now I will listen to some SHUB NIGGURATH, hehehe!
