STENCHED
Purulence Gushing From The Coffin

STENCHED is a Mexican one man band, and if the name, artwork or titles don’t mean anything to you, then my friend you have to be checked at the morgue. This is rancid and putrid Death Metal from the grave, that owes a lot to early CARCASS, with a lot of AUTOPSY and bits of INCANTATION to make this disgusting piece of Metal your favourite soundtrack for being sick with temperatures, while spitting phlegm all over. The guitar tone is disgustingly heavy, yet morbid enough to conjure all those riffs. It’s simple and direct and works perfectly with all the other instruments (of torture), while the very low, most like whispering vocals are coming from the very same bowels of hell. Interestingly enough, the band sounds very good playing at any speed, although the heaviness shines when they are playing in slower tempos. Although I would like to have faster parts and vocals that have a bit more variety, the morbid aura this evokes is fascinating and totally recalls what the meaning of morbid Death Metal is. A song like ‘Death Maniacal Obsession’ captures a lot of the essence of evil Death Metal from the ’90s in a way that it’s scary. Wicked melodies everywhere, visions of blood and body parts all around and a very heavy and thick production, it’s all here. I think that the logo should be more gory, so it would fit better as it looks like a Thrash Metal logo, but fear not, there’s not even a hint of anything remotely different than putrid Death Metal. And let me tell you, for a one man band this is impressive. Fans of morbid Death Metal this is definitely an album to get, let the fluids run through! https://stenched.bandcamp.com, www.facebook.com/extremelyrottenproductions
