Disintegration Of The Individual

SUFFERSYSTEM is a German band, formed in 2000, with already six albums released. Wow, I mean, it’s not that they cannot be that creative, but seeing some more known bands taking longer between albums, I guess it’s a case of how the creative process is done. The band, with a name that to me sounds more like Hardcore style, plays Death / Thrash Metal, usually in a mid-tempo speed, sounding not far away from early DEATH, CANCER and later CARCASS. By the way, SUFFERSYSTEM is formed by just two musicians, that also have another band called DEFECTED DECAY (again, naming Death Metal bands not seems to be their strength) that also plays Death Metal, although with less Thrash than this one. Their overall sound recalls all those bands that in the early ’90s were releasing albums. Although with so many releases, it’s true that they are very good players and performers, I still find that the way they compose things, it’s not something that I haven’t heard before or that I have not heard better done. I mean, there are some good riffs here and there, the production is very good (probably a bit too much polished for my taste) and besides the core of the band, there are many invited musicians contributing to this release. At the end I would compare them to bands like DISINCARNATE or DEAD HEAD, while good, they never got my attention as some other bands were doing things in a different and at least for me, more effective way. Still, if those bands ring a bell to you, give this one a try, they released it in quite many formats, so there is one that will surely fulfill your desire for this Deathrash assault. www.facebook.com/suffersystem, www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063770500586
