TERRORFRONT
We Don't Come In Peace

This is a quite short album by Italian band TERRORFRONT, delivering violent Black / Thrash Metal in the rawest possible vein. Only 5 fast and very short songs, including a cover for BESTIAL MOCKERY’s ‘Necrolust’, which seems to be a major influence on these fellows’ music. Personally, “We Don’t Come In Peace” is an appeal to Metal being played for passion and the drive to stir the headbanging pot at very underground stages all around, but if such an urge to play is so evident, the other intentions with their music are not. Here’s an album that neither innovates (which I also believe is not part of their plan) nor transforms anything that has been already done, or in a nutshell, doesn’t attract the listener for its own creativity. It’s a fast, brutal, nearly demo-like album which most of the riffs sound dated and bland, and with only a few riffs that really engaged me more despite the feeling I have heard it before. Although its raw production sounds as something intentional, their performance is no better than of an average band either. Do not get me wrong, it’s not the kind of album you’d throw away with no fucking remorse, but it’s just not something you feel like revisiting often. I believe TERRORFRONT might be the kind of band that kicks asses on stage but simply don’t deliver the same in this particular recording, because it is clear they play with a lot of energy, but it will take them more if they really want to stand out even among the crowd of bands playing crude and uncompromised Metal of these days.
