A Lesson In Thrash
(Incursion Music)

A quite solid underground release if you ask me which stranded in my mailbox. I have never expected such cool and professional made stuff from THRASH, an outfit which is hailing from Bangladesh. Responsible for it is Incursion Music, a label total dedicated to Metal music in their native country which organizes gigs, having their own recording facilities and much more. It’s not that difficult for you to figure out what kind of music THRASH plays… Yes, Thrash Metal and a very solid and well crafted type of it! This young band was formed about one and a half years ago in the capital Dhaka and offers us on their debut EP three tracks plus intro. After the intro ‘Cross Fire (Legitimate Manslaughter)’ starts with a nice fast paced Bay Area type riff and changes the pace always between faster sections and heavy mid tempo. ‘Indianization’ shifts even one gear higher and continues with the same formula of headbanging riffage, refined with an excellent, melodic guitar leads. ‘A Lession In Thrash’, a solid, mostly mid paced banger, closes this surprisingly good EP. The production of this mini album is very well done and good to listen to. All I can say is: job well done! The design of the EP looks like a miniature vinyl LP. It comes in a kind of album cover with insert. This four piece has the skills, the power and aggression to convince every underground Thrasher being seriously interested in that kind of Metal. If you are interested in getting hold of a copy of this release don’t hesitate to get in touch with Saadi from Incursion Music at www.incursionmusic.com.
