The brothers Phil and Tony Sardo have kept their band THRUSTOR going on since 1998. The guys debut album, "Night Of Fire", was originally released a year later after the formation of the band, in 1999. Then a 13 years period of silence hit THRUSTOR. Many thought the band was over. Little did they know because despite THRUSTOR’s activities being on / off ever since they got their debut album recorded, the Sardo brothers never buried THRUSTOR for good. "Abysmal Fear", the title of THRUSTOR’s 2nd album, contains some really well structured heavy Thrash Metal that is accompanied with some early US Power and even Death Metal elements, making the album a great listen. It can be heard from everything both Phil and Tony have put lots of their efforts into the song structures; they sound rich, intense, very powerful and simply captivating. The guitar sound is exceptionally fat, crispy and groovy, which I like a lot. Tomasz Pilasiewicz “Sick Drummer”, the man known for quite a respectable band history (AD INFINITUM, DISINTER, CORPHAGY), gave his helping hand to the Sardo bros, playing his drum parts in for this record. His drum work is quite phenomenal indeed, surely giving an extra kick of brutal intensity to the band’s sound. THRUSTOR have something special in their sound that truly separates them from the masses for their own advantage. It’s kinda hard to put a finger on their style of Metal and say they sound like this or that band simply because THRUSTOR sound first and foremost like THRUSTOR: an uncompromisingly brutal and powerful Metal unit, in which their main musical emphasis is on sheer technicality and the heaviness of the songs. Sure, there’s some bits of SLAYER, INFERNÄL MÄJESTY and even HOBBS ANGEL OF DEATH in THRUSTOR’s sound but that’s not really the whole truth there either when it comes to "Abysmal Fear". But obviously naming those 3 band names, may get you awake a little bit perhaps. More band information at www.facebook.com/pages/thrustor/184985514868156, label: www.emanesmetalrecords.com
