Futurist Metal, Cyper Death Metal, Electro Metal, Modern Metal? Well, a mix of FEAR FACTORY and almost new SAMAEL on a technical very high level is what THY DISEASE stands for. Technical, which means modern in the electronically way, and highly professional is their newest output “Anshur Za”, their fifth full-length recording and first one for the Polish label Mystic Production – the label who just made the European release of ARMAGEDON’s killer “Death Than Nothing” possible. The bonus tracks are two coverversions of DEPECHE MODE’s ‘Sinner In Me’ and MADONNA’s ‘Frozen’ and to keep it short: both versions were not necessary, although they are played well, still the regular 10 songs on “Anshur Za” can convince far more than those 2 covertunes. This Polish band is professional in every manner and songs as the outstanding ‘Freedom For Anshur-Za’ or ‘Nightmare Scenario’ show the great potential of this band. Well, “Anshur Za” is already their fifth full-length CD, as already mentioned above, and the first opportunity for me to listen to them. According to their band name I expected some kind of brutal Death Metal, looking at the band picture on the back of the promo CD I thought of another Polish BEHEMOTH sound-alike. Obviously I was wrong on both impressions I got. The ordinary Voices From The Darkside reader might not be that much into this modern and electronic type of Metal, nevertheless this is presented with highest possibilities and professional from the beginning to its end and therefore recommended to each fan of names as FEAR FACTORY, KOVENANT or SAMAEL at “Passage” or later. I might miss some bands here as comparison, though I guess you got the point, haha. Another proof for the more and more outstanding musical development of the Polish Metal scene.
