TOADEATER from Lower Saxony in Germany are active since 2018 and are soon releasing their already third output entitled “Bexadde” via F.D.A. Records. The album starts raw and fast in form of ‘Asche’ with a punky interpretation of the Post Black Metal genre with harsh screams, shredding guitars and fast blast beats. In the middle they slow down and spoken passages vary the vocal work while some melodies appear in their dark post sound. Especially these parts really make the song very enjoyable as I really dig their melancholic approach. ‘Let The Darkness Swallow You’ starts also very calm with some intense Post Black Metal guitars before turning into a fast but melodic direction. This track also gets carried by the intense and harsh vocals but this time they are better dozed. Also the drum work once again is fantastic and this track sounds very consistent and well-thought. ‘Lowest Servant’ continues the way but offers some really intense screams before last track ‘Molten Gold’ once again offers some real darkness and a damn good melody line and atmosphere. In this track they have put all their abilities and definitely this one is worth to check. Overall an album worth to check for Black Metal lunatics with solid but not outstanding material.
