TOME OF THE UNREPLENISHED
Cosmoprism: The Theurgy - Act I

We have heard of many kind of influences within the Heavy Metal genre. From Jazz, to orchestral, to New Wave and beyond. But in this case, with this band originally from Ciprus, well, it’s a whole different story. In this case, we are faced with a Noise / Industrial band influenced by chaotic and suffocating Death / Black Metal. Do not expect what we are really awaiting from a Death / Black Metal band with noise and industrial influences… no. It is just like the music for a horror / gore movie that has been influenced by the most brute raw and primitive Death / Black but keeping the noise and indutrial / electronic as the main root of the “music”. For the uninitiated this will sound like pure cacophony… and it is. Yet, there are some atmospheric passages, and the very distant use of what seems to be a distorted guitar, some drums and what seems to be the agonizing vocals of the undead. I am sure that those who enjoy Noise (and I am referring to the cacophonous “music” style not exactly noise for the sake of it) and suffocating Death / Black Metal will surely find this interesting. Even those who likes the soundtrack of horror and desperation soundtracks found in movies, will also enjoy it. In my case I find some interesting things here and there, but to be honest the more close minded Metaller inside me tells me to go get something new from IMMOLATION or NIFELHEIM rather than this. Still, the darkness within bonds both music styles, so if you are looking for another face of evil, this is it. www.facebook.com/tomeoftheunreplenished, www.i-voidhanger.com
