TOWARDS ATLANTIS LIGHTS
Dust Of Aeons

Did the lost island of Atlantis sink under the waves with its inhabitants having ired the gods? Did its scientists wipe themselves from existence having experimented with long-lost technology, or is the loss simply an allegory to warn the Greeks of the dangers of arrogance and complacency? TOWARDS ATLANTIS LIGHTS, a project led by Ivan Zara (VOID OF SILENCE) is an exploration of the past and of the wonders of the ancient world, so it’s aptly named. Joining him in this project is Kostas Panagiotiou of PANTHEIST, and if you’re familiar with these names, you’ll know what to expect with their debut release “Dust Of Aeons”. The band evokes the murkiness of the ocean’s abyssopelagic zone, the aphotic depths where very few living beings can exist. Imagine slowly sinking to the bottom of the Mediterranean, seeing the light fade from view, life escaping you as you’re crushed by the immense pressure of its waters. There are four dirges on this release, as lyrically, they all deal with loss in some capacity, be it for a loved one, knowledge or the nostalgia of a cherished experience. I’d definitely suggest you check this out if you’re a fan of Funeral Doom, in one sitting with minimal distraction. www.facebook.com/towardsatl, https://tometal.com
