TYSONDOG
Four Track E.P.
(Skol Records)

Hell-Yeah, another NWOBHM re-release. Originally 33 years ago, in 1985, the “Four Track E.P.” was released via Neat Records as a 12" vinyl. Now this gem is available on CD and this is really great news. TYSONDOG doesn’t belong to the first wave of NWOBHM bands and so they sound more powerful and you can find hints of Power and Speed Metal in their sound. But except for those influences "The Four Song EP" is a typical NWOBHM gem. Just listen to those four songs here and you’ll know what the NWOBHM was all about. Especially song number three ‘Hammerhead’, which originally appeared on the band’s debut album from 1984, is a brilliant and powerful headbanger with a galloping rhythm and passionate vocals. This song alone is worth the price of this EP. But luckily also the other three songs are great hymns of early Metal and reminders of a glorious time. So, if you are into British Heavy Metal this is a must have for you! More info at: www.facebook.com/tysondog.co.uk, www.skolrecords.com
