In Oath To Torment, Unrelenting...
(Fallen Temple)

Raw and relentless and quite primitive Black Metal is what this American / Russian band offers, as the cold autumn nights and storms start to appear. With a candid offspring in the likes of VON (though nowhere as evil) and BARATHRUM, which the band has covered twice already, and a hefty dose of brutal vocals inspired by the mighty Nocturno Culto of just as mighty DARKTHRONE, era “A Blaze In The Northern Sky” and “Under A Funeral Moon”. So quite primitive and raw, quite bass-driven Black Metal with killer vocals. Does it sound a bit off? Well, yeah, though give the release some spins, and suddenly VENGEANCE SORCERY will get under your skin! This release is a compilation of the four demos VENGEANCE SORCERY has recorded and released so far, released by the Polish label Fallen Temple. The band was formed in 2019 and released three demos that year and one earlier this year, so the duo has been quite productive during the year+, they have been active together. If raw and primitive Black Metal with its roots deeply buried back in time, Black Metal with darkness and a wee doomish touch and quite good vocals (if you dig the first couple of DARKTHRONE Black Metal albums), then this demo compilation should be up your alley. Though it needs a bit of time, as it seems very primitive at first, though it grows a little during the amount of spins you give it! Tread carefully under the shadow of the horns:,
