VEXATION from Poland was formed back in the glory days of 1986. Initially they were known as AGRESSOR, but later went on as VEXATION. Although the band never went far and split-up rather quickly, they left a horrid mark by playing Death Grind on the prolific demo “Hommagea Aleph” in 1990 and the split “Death On Alive #1” with CONVENT in 1991. In that period, the idea of mixing Death Metal and Grindcore took shape and tapes were circulated through the tape-trading network of the underground. They surely got spread faster than a plague of undead flesh-eaters and now A.D.G Records has taken the responsibility to remind all once again that each known and unknown act and their releases from that era shaped this enticing genre. This compilation beholds 26 tracks of deadly and grinding music in its rawest, crude and unadulterated form. Featured are the band’s “Hommagea Aleph” demo from 1990 (tracks 1-8), “Death On Alive 1991”, live in Stalowa Wola (tracks 9-17) and a rehearsal from 1989 (tracks 18-26). A.D.G Records did a great job in restoring all these tracks and infusing some vitality to make sure that anyone understands what a sheer force VEXATION could have been if they would have continued in the long run. Be it on the demo, their live material or in the rehearsal session, the excellent musicianship of VEXATION can heavily challenge all other Death Grind releases from that era. To make sure you can lay your hands and bleed your ears on these rare fragments of history, now this compilation is available on a silver disc and limited to only 300 pieces.
