VLAD
Fucking In The Hell

The band name being VLAD, the title of the recording being "Fucking In The Hell", I wasn’t really expecting much more than noise from this Peruvian ensemble. The trio is delivering a primitive form of thrashy Death Metal with some Black Metal influences, painting the guitar riffs and the vocals here and there. Musically it is a raw clash of thrashing madness and more laid back Death Metal and then the Black Metal blasts here and there. I like the intensity of the vocals, quite good rasps and screams, it does almost feel possessed, more of that madness please. The riffing is quite standard, though is saved by some decent compositions. Just a shame that the drums halt here and there, though well, that adds to the rawness and brutality of this release. Even though a tighter and more pounding result would have done the music well. I guess the tracks are from a couple of different recording sessions, as the quality of the production, or lack thereof, differs some. There is more bottom to some of the tracks compared to a couple of others which are quite thin and weak sounding. The ideas are good and some of the expressions do work, though with a bit more work in the rehearsal space it all can become tighter and more hard hitting. Would suit the overall atmosphere and output of the music. If you like your kick done in primitive ways, with some intensity and madness, and trademarks of the old mad South American scene, this will fit into your scheme. If not, give the guys a few years, they are toying around with some good elements. Impalement this way: www.facebook.com/pages/vlad-peru/169676563064512, www.reverbnation.com/vladperu
