Czech Dark Metallers ROOT will release their tenth album "Kärgeräs – Return From Oblivion" on November 25, 2016 via Agonia Records. According to an offical band statement it will be different from their 2011 offering, "Heritage Of Satan": "As always in our history as a band, we aim to deliver a unique album, something that will stand out and shine its own light in our discography. Expect dark metal at its best, along with some surprising elements. We’ve recorded one fully acoustic song and one entirely instrumental. Overall, the album will include ten new tracks that will differ from our previous records." The artwork was hand-painted by Thomas Bruno, while the recroding, mixing and mastering took place at Shaark Studio in South Moravia. It was produced by vocalist Big Boss himself. As most of you will probably have heard already, former BOLT THROWER frontman Karl Willetts has officially confirmed in the meantime that the band has definitely split-up. In an interview with Metal Hammer magazine he said: “Yes, I can confirm that BOLT THROWER are definitely over for good. There will be no reunion tours etc… no compromise.” Willetts fronts the band MEMORIAM now. They are currently in the studio to record their debut full length for Nuclear Blast Records. Caco-Daemon Records is a new tape label with a focus on old school Death Metal bands that are still working in the vein of the do it yourself times from back in the days. The label’s primary focus will be demos and EPs that have not been made available in a physical format yet. Some forgotten nuggets from the early 1990s and live recordings will fill up the release schedule. UK Death Metallers BOLT THROWER have just issued a statement via their official website that immediately resulted in a vivid discussion that the band might have split-up: "On behalf of ourselves and Kiddie’s family, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and support over the last 12 months. Together with Kiddie’s family we made the conscious decision to keep his unexpected death a private matter, and to take time out to deal with it all. When Kiddie joined us back in 1994, although he was only 17, he instantly improved BOLT THROWER as a live band, and no one was more loyal to, and prouder to be in BOLT THROWER than him. We spent over 20 years together, touring the world, with 3 different vocalists, but he was so much more than just a drummer to us. So when we carried his coffin to his final resting place, the BOLT THROWER drummer position was buried with him. He was, and will now forever remain THE BOLT THROWER drummer, our powerhouse and friend Martin “Kiddie” Kearns. As for the rest of us, BOLT THROWER has been our way of life for 30 years, never driven by money, fame or ego, but by our own personal principles and values that have guided us through life, and which bonded us as friends long before BOLT THROWER was even formed…" In an interview with www.thydemonsbescribblin.com vocalist Karl Willets recently still denied the split-up of the band though: "BOLT THROWER are currently on a long term break, a hiatus whilst we try and get over what has happened, I am not sure exactly what the future holds for the band, however I can confirm officially that we have not split up!! We have just made a tactical retreat whilst we lick our wounds and regroup…" Karl is currently working with original BOLT THROWER drummer Andy Whale, bassplayer and longtime friend Frank Healy (SACRILEGE / BENEDICTION) and guitarist Scott Fairfax (LIFE DENIED, BENEDICTION live) in a band called MEMORIAM (the name is a tribute to Martin "Kiddie" Kearns).
