Italy’s blackened Doom Metallers FORGOTTEN TOMB have released a live album, which can be downloaded for free at their bandcamp site. It was recorded at the Kings Of Black Metal Festival in Germany in 2012 and features the following tracks: ‘Intro (Springtime Depression)’, ‘Reject Existence’, ‘Shutter’, ‘Solitude Ways’, ‘Todestrieb’, ‘Spectres Over Venice’ and ‘Disheartenment / Alone / Steal My Corpse’ (medley). The recordings have been professionally mixed and come from FORGOTTEN TOMB’s upcoming new DVD "Darkness In Stereo: Eine Symphonie Des Todes – Live in Germany", which additionally offers a full video of the concert, as well as excerpts filmed at the Under The Black Sun Festival and the K17 Club in Berlin in 2012. Independent filmmaker Will Wulff and journalist Jeff Tandy have launched a crowd-sourcing campaign through IndieGoGo.com to help fund the making of "Lone Survivor – Paul Speckmann and the Story of MASTER", a documentary about one of Death Metal’s earliest and most influential pioneers. Norwegian Black Metallers RAGNAROK have parted ways with frontman Hans Fyrste. Fyrste is cutting back on his musical activities due to other personal and job-related commitments, which had already affected his ability to tour with RAGNAROK at the end of last year. Shadow Kingdom Records will release a compilation CD from Chicago’s TERMINAL DEATH on July 08, 2014. It features the band’s 1985 demo, as well as rehearsals from December 11, 1985 and April 19, 1986. The vinyl edition will be released by Hells Headbangers Records. Shadow Kingdom Records owner Tim McGrogan commented the upcoming release like this: "When you talk about the earliest Death Metal bands, we think of SEPULTURA, DEATH, POSSESSED (all stemming from VENOM) right off the top, but there were a few ripping bands that quickly fell into obscurity and TERMINAL DEATH is one of those bands. This is not just an obscure band; they could have been a HUGE Death Metal band if they were signed to the right label back then. They certainly had all of the talent of the aforementioned bands. Their 1985 demo tape screams with energy and intensity! This collection is another snapshot of that amazing early SLAYER-esque Death Metal.
